Friday!

Last night, I went the the final Summer's Fifth Night with Mom, Dad, Beth, Scott, Kim and LeVada(I hope I spelled her name right). We sat outside at Stonehorse and enjoyed some delicious food.
I am excited about this weekend, especially about the wine and cheese! I love some good wine and cheese.
I got a quote to fix my fence yesterday. To do the fence, rehang my gate and put up a latch, it will cost me $850. Not sure if that is good or not. Monday, my living room is going to get painted!! Yipee!!! I can't wait!! Then I can hang the pictures I have and my big clock!!
My hair gets cut today and I can't wait!! I am so ready and I was super excited to get to change my appoinment. You may remember that I had an appointment scheduled for September 10th, but I was able(thankfully!!) to change it to today! So, double yipee!!
It is a three day weekend!!

Shopping

Last night, I shopped for things for the house. I went on a hunt for floor runners for the hall and an area rug for the dining room. I think I need some help, so Beth, if you are reading this, please help me! I did find some great pictures to hang up in the dining room. I have fence people coming on Thursday to give me an estimate to fix the fence and hopefully, the living room will begin to be painted next week.
I am excited about the coming weekend, especially hosting the wine and cheese event. That is right up my ally.
Last night was good and there was no pee this morning!!

Scooter Trouble

So, I am pretty upset this morning. I got up with the intention of riding my scooter to work, I had my helmet on and everything. Then, I couldn't get the silly thing started. I fiddled with it for about 20 minutes before I finally gave up and drove the car to work. I was so excited. I love my scooter and wanted to take advantage of the sunny morning to ride it. My neighbor said he would help me with it this evening, so hopefully, I will be able to ride it tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed. My head got so sweaty in my darn helmet while I was trying to kick start my scooter that my hair was drenched. Needless to say, my hair will be in a pony tail most of the day today.
Speaking of hair, I have an appointment to get my hair cut on the 10th of September and I am considering going very short. Kind of one of those short in the back but longer around the face. I have been contemplating this for some time and have put my whole heart into this decision.....unless I change my mind...ugh!! I hate making hair decisions.
I think I have decided to take the last of my money for my house and fix some of the big things, like the fence, the garage door and the get the bathroom tiled. Everything else is just little things. My living room is getting painted next week and I am super duper excited about that!!
Oh, Samson peed in the bed last night...what is that about?!? Makes me insane!!

Water Bills

I am having issues with my water bill. When I turned on the water at my house, I had to go in person and get my water turned on because someone had illegally used the water at my new house and I had prove my ownership or I would have had to pay all the back water bills. Anyway, when I went down in person I set up to have my water turned off on June 27. The problem is I keep getting bills for the old house, so I called the water department and they are investigating for me.
I got a scooter and I haven't been able to ride it to school because of all the rain. Hopefully next week I can ride it to work.
It is Thursday!!

Sleepy

Last night I was so sleepy! I fell asleep at 7:30....I do not mean a nap, I mean hardcore in my bed, asleep. Not sure what it was about yesterday that made me sooo tired, but I was falling asleep on my way home from work. Must be getting back into a routine.
I am tyrying to eat really healthy. So, of course when I have done very well, along comes someone to offer me chocolate or someother tempting treat, but thus far I have done so good. Go me!!

Getting into a routine

My year is off to a great start! I really think I am going to enjoy this particular group of kids. I have several duties that pay additional monies, so I am excited about that. I am the team leader for the early childhood teachers, I am the site tech and I am a mentor teacher to the new first grade teacher and I will have a student teacher in 6 weeks.
I am trying to get back into a great workout schedule. Unfortunately, the marathon I want to run happens to fall on a class weekend so that was a little deflating to me. I was really pumped about that. I am still going to train and be ready when another run comes my way. My house is coming along, I just need to get my living room painted and fix up the bathroom, then I will have all my appliances delivered. I must say, I rather enjoy being a home owner.

First Day Jitters....

Today was the first day of school for the kids. In my opinion, I think the day was awesome. We started uniforms this year. I had mixed feelings about it, but after seeing it in action, I love the notion of uniforms. The kids look so cute. So far the year is off without any major incidents. But, I do not want to speak too soon.
After school, I took Samson to get his shots and decided to let Mae come along and get her annual booster shot. What a site...a Yorkie and pit bull puppy dragging some crazed lady. I am beginning to sense a few jealousy issues. Mae does not, I repeat does not like Samson to lick me. She gets especially annoyed when Samson thinks that he is a lapdog and acts on that impulse and she does not hesitate to put him in his place. Oh, the joys that come along with having a puppy. But his cute face makes it all worth while. And Samson and Mae do get along surprisingly well.
