For the last week or so, I have been having the worst time getting to sleep each night. It is 11pm and I am not at all sleepy. This has got to change. I have got to get back on my schedule so I will be ready for school which starts in one week for me.
Tonight, I got a lot done at my house. I am still not totally unpacked, but I am getting there. I am having some space issues. I don't have enough room in my kitchen for all my kitchen stuff, so I am trying to figure out what should go where. I am thinking of making my little sitting area in the kitchen into a pantry. I need somewhere to put all my cookbooks and my cooking supplies. I don't have enough cabinet space. I have been spending a lot of time trying to pick out my appliances for the kitchen, I am excited about that! I love new appliances. My next big project for the house is the bathroom. It needs some serious TLC.

Only one more day....
I only have one more day of class, then I can go home to my house!! I feel like I have been gone so much this summer, I am just ready to be home and settled!!
After talking to my friend, Andy and visiting with Beth over some delicious sushi, I have decided to train for the Route 66 Marathon in November. This seems nuts to me, but I figure, why not. I went to runnersworld.com and found a training schedule. The marathon is 17 weeks away and the training is a 16 week schedule, so I have just enough time. I have wanted to run a marathon, I just needed the push. So, all 4 or 5 of you blog readers, really pile on the encouragement. Speaking of that...my birthday is just over a month away and I would really like an ipod for the running, so any money contributions to that would be greatly appreciated...hint, hint!!
I have pretty much finished all my homework for this class, so yippee!!

Hello Blog, my old friend
Ok, so it has been two months since my last post. I know, I have neglected to keep everyone filled in on the happenings in my life. I vow to do better....and this time I mean it.
So, after the week vacation, which was wonderful and restful, my life got really hectic. I spent the first three days back from vacation finishing the painting that was supposed to be finished while I was gone. Then, I spent two full days on my hands and knees cleaning the splattered paint off the floor...that sucked. I thought the painting was gone to be done much neater, but alas, it was not. I was very disappointed in the way that my help was handled in my house. I learned some valuable lessons, however.
I am so loving my house and have so many hopes and desires of things I want to do to my house. Sadly, I am running out of money. I am getting the major things done. Soon, I am going to have the bathroom redone and hopefully, I will be getting some new appliances. Keep fingers crossed that all of that fits in my budget!!
For the last two weeks, I have been in Norman taking an obscenely boring course. Because I do not have a masters of reading education, only a mere master's of administration, I have to take some additional graduate level reading courses with clinicals. So, here I am in Norman shacking up with Matt and Trenda and coming to class everyday for 6, that's right 6 hours. The good news is, class is over in 3 days, it has been very and during my piddling during class, I found a really cute purse on ebay and I won it!! It should be here by Saturday. Also, while I have been in Norman, I tracked down a friend of my, Andy and we got to catch up!! I really enjoyed that. I also had sushi...yum, yum with Beth! I was glad to catch up with her.
My plan when I get home is to finish unpacking and get a television. Then, I would like to host an open house sometime in August, if time allows this. I already have the menu planned.
