Today is the day!!

In just a few short hours, I will be a homeowner. I am so excited!! It seemed like this day was so far away when I started this process, but it has approached so rapidly. Now for the part of moving all my crap. Lot's of people have said they will come and help, so now I just have to wait to see who will really show up when it comes time to do the deed.
My schedule for the next few weeks is pretty hectic. I have class the next three weekends and my second class starts on Tuesday.
Now, I just have to wait a little bit and then I can get a car.

One more day!!

Oh my gosh!! I can't believe it...I close on my house tomorrow!! I am so excited. My minds has been reeling with thoughts about all the things I want to do in my house. I have so many paint ideas and decorating ideas. I have a feeling this summer is going to fly by between working in my house, professional development and summer classes and let's not forget the big Pense family trip to Florida! It is going to be an expensive summer!! Only 6 more days of school!!

Today we are having our final lunch bunch luncheon. I brought two things...our theme is appetizers and desserts, so I brought one thing from each category. I made some chocolate chip cheesecake bars(very healthy ;)) and some clubhouse chicken squares. Yummy!!

Last Monday of School

So, this is the last Monday of the school year. I am happy/sad. I will miss this group of kids, but I am ready for a break.
All is going well with my house and I am scheduled to close on Thursday. I am so excited!!

So, very interesting...this morning, I got all kinds of messages from a number I did not recognize giving me the play by play of the happenings going on at BK's house. I was very annoyed. When I texted the person back explaining that I did not recognize that number and asking for identifcation. I received no response. It was very strange.

Friday!!

I am glad it is Friday. We are going on a walking field trip today. Those are really fun. We just walk to some of the different locations close to the school. This weekend, I have to finish a paper. I should have it done by Saturday. Only 9 more days of school!!

Hump Day

Well, last night, BK and I went to dinner at El Guapo's. On Tuesday night, they have $1 tacos. So, we had some five layer dip and three of their $1 tacos. They were really good and just the right size. They are about the size of a small pancake and are on a soft corn tortilla. We sat on the roof and enjoyed our light dinner. I must say...I rather enjoyed it. Especially the price. I will have to remember that for the next time I go out with friends.

Things are moving right along with my house. I just don't want my Gap Insurance to hold up my closing and I am worried that is going to happen. If that happens, I may push my closing back a few days. I won't like that, but sometimes that happens. I am just praying that my Gap people with get my claimed filed and finished.

Only 11 days of school left!!

Only 10 days

I am so excited!! Everything is going so well on my house! I got an FHA loan, which means I have a few more hoops to jump through. After my inspection, my FHA appriaser could have required that some things be fixed, but her did not, which is good, because I have some things that I want fixed. I am so excited, I just can't wait.

So, yesterday was Mother's day and we continued our tradition of brunch. I rather like that tradition. I got Mom a pretty hanging basket of flowers. We enjoyed some delicious quiche from Lambrusco's complements of Deb, I brought the makings for mimosas, and Beth provided fruit salad and some delicious pastries from Merritt's. It was very nice. I enjoyed spending this time with my family.

I am thinking when I get all moved in, I am going to have some kind of brunchish open house.

A lot of crazy things are happening right now. Summer classes start next weekend, I close on my house and I get a new car very soon. It is going to be a great summer!!

I am starting back on my super strict diet. I have got to drop some pounds before Florida and it will be here before long...about 7 weeks. So, I am going all lean protien and veggies.
